Lord,
Help us move from a season of thankfulness to a season of gratefulness. Help us to see that it is You and You only that gives us righteousness. Father, constantly it seems that I’m at war within myself. I do what I don’t want to do and then I don’t do what I want to do. I can go nowhere in this life without You. Help me and help all of us see ourselves only in You. For it is only because of Jesus, we can even approach You. In Your mercy only can we rest because truthfully there is no other name worthy to be praised. There is no name that provides salvation except Jesus. We praise You and we are grateful to the One who does for us what we cannot do for ourselves: be righteous.
