Dear Lord,
As we come before you today, help us to remember to pray with persistence and trust, knowing that you hear and answer us. Guide us to be honest and true in our hearts, and stay away from pretending or acting better than we are. May we always be humble and realize that we are nothing without you. Tune our hearts to yours and remind us that you are more important than the stuff we have, because we know that things don’t last but you do. Fill our hearts with the fear of you, and not to worry about what other people may think of us. Let us find our joy in pleasing you and you alone. Though we face difficult and confusing times, help us to understand what really matters and to live in a way that is pleasing to you. We love you and thank you for the give of life through Jesus.
