Dear God,
I do not consider it a coincidence that David asserts his rest in you alone. God our salvation and our strength come only from you. Help me rest in this world that seems to want to distract me with every new thing and from the enemy who wants to inflict destruction in my life. There is nothing in this world that can deliver me. Help my gaze be in you and in you alone and to trust that you are the author and the perfecter of my faith, that you have not given me more than what I can handle. I trust you and my soul rests. I rejoice and I am satisfied in your love. Let every bone in my body give you praise.
