Lord,

David dealt with every type of season in his life, and in Psalms 22 he’s in a season of feeling alone (even feeling silence from you) and mocked by those around him. Yet, even though he didn’t feel your presence, he still turned to you! What a lesson to be learned. By the end of the Psalm, he was in a completely different place mentally.

Lord, when I stop to praise you – even in the difficult times, You help change my perspective and give me hope. I confess that I’m not always disciplined in praising you regularly. I get caught up in my prayer list and my wants. Please forgive me for not giving you the praise you are due. Please change my mindset to be like David’s. Thank you for giving us the Psalms. I learn so much from the prayers and praises in this Book.

I want to praise you each day, each moment. I want to have the faith of David so that even when trials come, my trust in you is steadfast. I love you Lord. Thank you for your faithfulness to me. Amen.
