Dear God,
I come to you today in prayer, seeking your guidance and wisdom. I want to live my life according to your will. Please help me to understand your Word and to obey your commandments.
Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes, and I will keep them to the end. Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart. Lead me in the path of your commandments, for I delight in it. Incline my heart to your testimonies, and not to selfish gain.
Help me to be a good and faithful servant. May I always speak the truth, even when it is difficult. May I be kind and compassionate to others, even when they are not kind to me. May I be forgiving and merciful, just as you are forgiving and merciful to me.
I know that I am not perfect, but I trust that you will help me to grow in my faith and in my obedience to you. I pray that you will always be with me, guiding me and protecting me.
