Lord,
Oh, do not let my name end up in your book of life like some of those in your Chronicles! Do not let my life be a life remembered for rebellion and disobedience!
Thank you, Lord, that we no longer live in the time of swords – generally we live in peace in our society. Thank you that all sons are not expected to go out and lay sword upon neighbors as it was in the days of your Chronicles.
Lord, remind us that each of our names are in your book of life, and all of our deeds are remembered. Convict our hearts to serve you well even in the little things so that our capacity for service and sacrifice will expand.
We cherish your word and wish to honor you in all we do.
