Father—We pray for our country. Please help those who are in positions of authority to do what is right. We know you are the sovereign King of all. No leader is above you. We need leaders who will seek to do what is right in your eyes. Without You, no country prospers for long. Without your hand, no leader does what is right. Help us those in positions of authority to seek what is right. If they know you, help them to listen more and more to you. If any don’t know You, then help them to still do things that are right in your eyes. We see what happens when those in charge seek after their own interests. Help them to lead in a way that blesses your name and your people. And help us to follow you in ways that honor you. Help us to stand for what blesses the Lord and not what blesses ourselves. Help us to love You and to love those around us. Help us to care for those who need You even when they do not know they need you. Help us to bless your holy name.
