Dear God,
Just as you delivered the Anakites to the hands of the Israelites, deliver my enemy to me. Help me conquer the battles that are ahead of me and give me the wisdom to discern that it was not because of my strength, wisdom, skill, discipline, proactiveness, but because of your grace and mercy. You are the God who is rich in mercy and in grace because that is what I need. Help me understand my limitations and delight in your unlimited power. I do not want to rely on my own understanding, but I want your Spirit to be my guide. Remove the idols of my life and help me worship you and only you. That same love that you have shown me helps me show those around me. Help me trust you in the middle of uncomfortable situations and even when it seems that doing the right thing has placed me in the wrong place. I trust you to guide me to the promised land.
