Father,
Your grace is overwhelming! You’ve taken a sinner, someone lost to the grave, and returned me to my creator in Holiness! Only You are capable of the sacrifice Your love displayed on the cross. I know you will continue to forgive me as I walk through this life imperfectly, but I also hear You calling me to obedience!
The path of righteousness is not for the faint of heart. Rebellion lures the weak with human logic and the pursuit of selfish desires. Men convince themselves in ignorance that their finite minds are more significant than the eternally perfect thoughts of their creator. We set a path for ourselves and wonder why You don’t bless our decisions! We refuse to listen to Your plans or even consider Your voice in the midst of decision-making. But we are fools! We are human and You are God! You show us the path of righteousness and You guide us with each step if we will just bow down and listen! Thank You for continuing to be the lamp unto my feet even when I turn the other way. Thank You for Your consistent grace and Your voice in my life which leads me to repentance and goodness. I’ll listen to Your voice above the rest and trust in Your call for my life.
