Father,

I bring You praise. You are the same God that met Moses in the Burning Bush. You are victorious over nations, and Your plans will always be accomplished. Thank you for giving us the story of obedience by the Hebrew midwives. What powerful legacies they left! Please give me the courage and boldness to always obey You and You alone, even in the face of great opposition.

Lord, I’m reminded that no one is too small to be used by You as I read about Moses’ sister following the basket along the Nile. Please be with the children in my family, and strengthen them to be obedient to Your voice, no matter how young they are.

Your Word says that You heard, saw, and knew the groanings of the Israelites. You do the same for me- you know my grief, my pain, and my trials. Thank you for being a God who sees, knows, and understands. Please help me to believe that You are working even when I can’t see You moving. Help me to walk forward in obedience as Moses did.

Thank you for being with me. Thank you for guiding me. I love you.

Amen.
