Water baptism is a public declaration of three important things:

“I am a follower of Jesus Christ.”

As Acts 2:41 reminds us, “Those who accepted his message were baptized.” In choosing baptism, you are affirming your decision to follow Jesus, committing your life to His teachings and His way of love.

“I am beginning a changed life in Christ.”

Romans 6:4 tells us, “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” Baptism symbolizes the beginning of a transformed life—a break from old habits and a fresh start powered by the resurrection of Jesus.

“I am part of a new family.”

Galatians 3:26–27 proclaims, “In Christ Jesus you are all children of God... for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.” Through baptism, you join the family of God, a community bound together by faith, love, and shared purpose.

Questions About Baptism

1: How do I get Baptized

We host water baptisms about 6 times a year and would love to celebrate life-change with you! Sign-up for our next baptism here!

2: I’ve already been baptized. Should I get baptized again?

Your baptism should have signified you becoming a follower of Jesus, beginning a changed life, and uniting with a new family. If your baptism did not reflect this change of life, then you should be baptized again.

3. Can my child/baby be baptized?

We will baptize anyone over age 7 who understands what baptism symbolizes and wants to make that personal public declaration.

Throughout the New Testament, the Bible teaches that baptism is a public expression of worship symbolizing the new life we have following Jesus. In the Bible we see that Jesus’ parents dedicated him to the Lord (Luke 2:22–40), and he was later baptized as an adult (Matthew 3:16–17).

    • If you’re child is too young to make a personal decision to follow Jesus, child dedication is what you’re looking for! We do Child Dedications several times a year. Head over to Ark.Guide, create an account, and we’ll keep you updated on the next Child Dedication!
