Dear God,
Thank you for your word. Thank you for portraying in scripture that you control our lives and the world with Jesus walking on water and calming the storm. Let us be humble and bold like Peter, who had the faith to step out of the boat and walk on water toward you. May we know who to call out to while sinking. Please give us the faith not to stay on the boat but to take leaps of faith in trust in you.
We also pray for your calming presence in our lives. Just as Jesus spoke peace to the wind and waves, speak peace into our hearts and minds. I pray you calm all anxiousness and disturbing thoughts.
Finally, we ask that you help us to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. May we follow him with all our hearts and seek to do your will in all we do.
