Lord,
We need You like children need their mother and father. In our fear, our happy moments, our needs, our loneliness, and even more so in our sin—we need You. No matter our age, our time with You helps us know how much You truly care for us. Let us be aware of You and your presence.
We are Yours. Like children, we call out to You in our need. And like children, we can throw a fit in our stubbornness or self mindedness. Sometimes we know that we have brought our own circumstances to us and sometimes we blindly insist on our “right”. Still, we need our Heavenly Father. Please remind us in every moment that You seek us and that You await us. Where we need to turn away from things, help us to turn away. Where we need to trust You, help us to trust You. And if we are experiencing times of struggle due to an enemy, give us grace and mercy each step of the way as we cry to You. Help us to never fear coming back to You or calling upon You.
