Lord,

I just want to start by praising you with David’s words:

I love you, Lord; you are my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.

Lord, thank you, for giving us the Book of Psalms. There are seasons in my life where I feel like I could have written David’s words. This is one of those seasons. I praise you, as David did for being mighty, powerful and creative. You are supreme above all nature and all mankind.

There is so much wisdom in the prayers of the Psalms. Lord, help me to believe that your way is perfect. Please help me to stop trying to “fix” things or solve my own problems. Help me to turn to you for your wisdom and protection. Please forgive me for sinning against you, and as David said: May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.

Amen.
